Vintage 1972 issue of Sephia Magazine, a rare African American-focused publication founded in the late 1940's. Issue is in good condition with no cosmetic/structural issues.
About: Sephia Magazine was founded in 1946 as Negro Achievements by Horace J Blackwell, an African-American clothing merchant from TX. George Levitan, a Jewish-American man born in Michigan, bought the magazines and Good Publishing Company (aka Sepia Publishing) in 1950. Four years later, he named the magazine Sepia, and published it until his death in 1976.
