About: The North Bolivar Farm Cooperative was part of the Freedom Farmers Collective, an organized agricultural resistance movement. Their slogan was "Bypass The Middlemen and Feed the Community", organizing in the spirit of Fannie Lou Hamer's Freedom Farm Cooperative. The time has come now when we are going to have to get what we need ourselves. We may get a little help, here and there, but in the main we’re going to have to do it ourselves. - Fannie Lou Hamer
