Description: Vintage Muhammad Ali vs Jean Pierre Coopman official match pennant. Dated February 20, 1976, the day their fight took place at the Roberto Clemente Coliseum in Puerto Rico. Very good condition. Heavy felt. Minor creasing on pennant tip. Measures 25" long and 8" tall. Two thin wings at the left side measure 2.25" each. This pennant is an original souvenir from this fight.
About: Muhammad Ali and Jean-Pierre Coopman fought this historic boxing match on February 20, 1976. This was Ali's first match after Thrilla in Manila. Ali won the fight after knocking out Coopman in the fifth round. This boxing bout took place in Puerto Rico at the Roberto Clemente Coliseum and was televised in the United States live on CBS in front of 40 million viewers.
