About Josie's Basketball Club: This June, we’re commemorating the trailblazing Black, queer women basketball stars who have made today’s excitement around the sport contagious. Black women athletes are fierce, dedicated, agile, smart, community-minded and so deserving of their stories being championed. They are also the bedrock of the community that has been found and founded in the sport. Through the power of intergenerational community, music and intentional storytelling, we’re excited to join the long tradition of NYC Pride while inspiring those in attendance to live their authentic, colorful lives - whether or not they can shoot a 3!
About NYC Pride: The New York City Pride march is the annual culmination of pride week in NYC and more broadly, a commemoration of pride month, every June. The march/parade commemorates the stonewall riots of 1969, during which thirteen people were arrested after a police raid at stonewall inn in Greenwich village. Exactly one year later, on June 28th, 1970, the first Gay Pride March was held by the Christian Street Liberation Day Committee in New York City. This was the first dedicated event to commemorate the Stonewall Riots and today, the legacy continues with cultural, political and family-centered events to support New York City’s LGBTQ+ community and bolster its rich legacy. According to NYC Pride, roughly 2 to 3 million people attend the NYC Pride March annually.

All sales are final and returns are not accepted, except in the case of extreme misrepresentations or oversights on the part of our team.
