About: The Movement Newspaper was published by SNCC (Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee) and SDS (Students for a Democratic Society) from 1965 to 1970 initially in San Francisco, California. The Movement began as a mimeographed newsletter, then evolved into a full-fledged newspaper covering the broad range of social-justice movements shaping the second half of the 1960's like worker’s rights, Black liberation, political prisoners, anti-Imperialist efforts, global protest movements, government repression, state violence among a multitude of other themes.. At its peak, it produced a 25,000 copy press run with 2,500 paid subscriptions.
